Good-Bye

He says this because he will probably never return…
He must move on…
His heart is almost mended…
But it still hurts…

The thing he wishes most…
Is that it could end…
By the two of them showing only a little of the love that had been shared for so long…
The pain just continues.

He stopped asking why and just knows that it is…
He stopped trying to figure out how it broke…
Maybe it didn’t…
He must move on and take with him all that was good.

He tried harder than he ever thought he could…
He can not find the strength for another day…
He knows if he moves on, his life will have more joy…
He has to kill the love that is left.

He looks at the little one…
And wonders if she has been cheated…
It is not the life he had planned for her…
But he knows a new beginning will benefit her as well.

Life is made up of a bunch of different changes…
The thing to do now is make sure the changes are for the better…
No looking back and no regrets…
Work twice as hard and take on the job of two.

He goes to her and sits her down…
He gives her the thoughts he has written…
She begins to tear up and grabs for his hand…
She tells him she understands and also wants the pain to end.

Attitude

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on my life. Attitude to me is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or scale. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude that we will embrace that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We can not change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the strength we have and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you…we are in charge of our attitudes.”

FORWARD TO ANYONE W/PETS OR SMALL KIDS!!!!

Recently someone had to have their 5-year old German Shepherd dog put down dueto liver failure.

The dog was completely healthy until a few weeks ago, so theyhad a necropsy done to see what the cause was.

The liver levels wereunbelievable, as if the dog had ingested poison of some kind.

The dog is keptinside, and when he's outside, someone's with him, so the idea of himgetting into something unknown was hard to believe.

My neighbor started going through all the items in the house.

When he got tothe Swiffer Wetjet, he noticed, in very tiny print, a warning20which stated'may be harmful to small children and animals.'

He called the company toask what the contents of the cleaning agent are and was astounded to find outthat antifreeze is one of the ingredients (actually, he was told it's acompound which is one molecule away from antifre eze).

Therefore , just by thedog walking on the floor cleaned with the solution, then lickin g its own paws,it ingested enough of the solution to destroy its liver.

Soon after his dog's death, his housekeepers' two cats also died ofliver failure.

They both used the Swiffer Wetjet for quick cleanups on theirfloors.

Necropsies weren't done on the cats, so they couldn't file alawsuit, but he asked that we spread the word to as many people as possible sothey don't losetheir animals.

This is equally harmful to babies and small children that pl ay on the floor alot and put their fingers in their mouths a lot.

DURING THIS POLITICAL SEASON LET’S BE REMINDED OF THESE WISE WORDS:

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

Words to live by...

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.'

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend..

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around.
